CCB supports a courageous outreach to Burma's tribal peoples. Continuously under attack by the Burmese Army, and devastated by the tragic cyclone, they are displaced and on the run. Free Burma Rangers trains, sends, and supplies ethnic pro-democracy teams into the areas under attack to provide emergency assistance and human rights documentation. Together with other groups, the teams work to serve people in need.
The Friends in Deed House is part of the Ecumenical Council of Pasadena Area Churches (ECPAC). The Friends in Deed food pantry is open 2 days a week, providing emergency services to over 150-175 low-income and homeless. During these hard times, its shelves have been too empty. Glendale Community Center, a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, is located at 4322 San Fernando Road in the City of Glendale. One of the programs that operates out of the Glendale Community Center is the Loaves & Fishes program. Loaves & Fishes is a human service provider to low income families, homeless people and homeless-at-risk youth regardless of race, gender or religious belief. Loaves and Fishes offers packaged food and personal care items; case management programs for emergency relief.
